This book "CAPTURED IN MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA! - A Photo Diary of a 343 day, 16,000+ mile RV Trip" has been floating around in my mind since the publication of my first book. I've selected 175 of my favorite photos from my 343 day, 16,000+ mile RV trip. There are 151 Chapters. Each Chapter is one 8.5 x 11 page with a photograph and associated dialog. Where space permits, some chapters have two photos. They are chronically correct, presented in the order they occurred and many not previouly published. You will also find nine maps identifying our route and flags from all eight countries. This 193 page book presents our trip in a "like a rock skipping across a lake format". Touching down at unique locations without bogging you down with the 94,000 word edition of Panama or Bust - A 343 day adventure in a motorhome! Perfect for a light and easy visual ride on a "once in a lifetime experience!" I find myself greatly pleased with the result. I believe this photo diary does a great job of visually presenting some of our many countless experiences in these eight countries. I trust you will agree!
Here's a sample chapter... Chapter 11 -The Sacred Cenote X-Keken at Dzitnup, Mexico Swimming in this cenote was a mystical experience. From Panama or Bust...'On the road at 2:30 PM and drove to Dzitnup where there is a cenote, which in Spanish means sacred sink hole. This is a Green Tortoise stopping place. According to the guidebook, there are about 3,000 sink holes in the Yucatan. The sinkhole here is called X-Keken and is described in the guidebook as "stunningly beautiful and lit with electric lights, the only natural light source being in the cavernous ceiling dripping with stalagtites. Swimming is excellent, the water is cool, clean and refreshing, and harmless bats zip around overhead. Exploratory walks can also be made through the many tunnels leading off the cenote, for which you will need a flashlight." Since we arrived so late in the afternoon, we will check it out tomorrow morning. We paid about $1.75 to enter the cenote. It's a large cavern. The ceiling is about 100 feet above the water with a six foot hole through which you can see the sky. The water is about 150 x 250 feet across, crystal clear, and about 80 degrees. We swam for about one-half hour during which time they shut off all the lights, so the only light came in through the hole in the ceiling. It was a really neat experience. I'm glad we stopped here!'

And another sample chapter... Chapter 84 - La Paz Centro, Nicaragua A street marker dedicated to a teen-ager kill in the Nicaragua Revolution. From Panama or Bust...'Once again on our way, we passed through the northwest corner of Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, and along the southern shore of the huge Lake Managua. We saw hundreds of buses decked out with the red and black Sandinista FLSN flag. They were apparently heading into downtown Managua for the 25-year celebration of the revolution. The parade was a good five miles long! For about a 25 mile stretch, we passed the Cordillera De Los Maribos, a mountain range containing ten volcanoes in a row, five inactive and five still active! Two were steaming! We drove to the village of La Paz Centro (The Peace Center) and are parked along the central plaza. Directly across the street, surrounded by a metal fence, are a line of 84 gravestones marking the graves of those from La Paz Centro who died during the revolution. They were mostly 17, 18, and 19 years olds, several of whom were females. La Paz Centro was one of the most active areas in the revolution. We had happy hour at a friendly local bar, where they gave each of us a red and black headband like the ones they were all wearing to signify support of the revolution. A neat souvenir! After a pleasant evening meal, we returned to the central plaza and it seemed the whole village was there, perhaps several thousand people, and everyone was so friendly. I was constantly surrounded by 10-20 people who wanted to "speak little English." Because our motorhomes appeared so large to them, one guy asked if we were movie stars. They had trouble believing only one person lived in such a large place. A night full of music and fireworks topped off one of the best village stops of the entire trip!'
